Investment Advisory Council at Alaska Retirement Management Board

Dr. Jennings was recently re-elected to a three-year term as the academic member of the Investment Advisory Council of the Alaska Retirement Management Board. The Alaska Retirement Management Board has oversight of the $19 billion Alaska state pension. He was originally selected for the Investment Advisory Council in 2003.

The Investment Advisory Council's role is to:
  • Review the investment decisions made by the Board
  • Make recommendations to the board concerning investment policies, strategies and procedures
  • Advise the board on the selection of performance consultants and on the form and content of annual reports
  • Provide other advice as requested by the board
