William
W. Jennings is Professor of Finance and Investments in the Department of
Management at the U.S.
Air Force Academy. Dr.
Jennings is the principal finance educator—overseeing instruction to
over 800 students per year—and senior civilian management professor.
He serves in roles analogous to associate dean in a typical
business school. He led the
department’s successful initial AACSB
accreditation effort.
Dr.
Jennings serves
the community via various investment committees supervising over $21
billion in endowment and pension funds at the Falcon Foundation, USAFA
Association of Graduates, Air Force Services pension, AAFCU Foundation,
The Colorado Trust and Alaska Retirement Management Board.
In these capacities, he has both operational and
oversight experience across a range of fiduciary investment management
activities in both traditional and alternative investments.
His
research interests focus on portfolio management.
Recently, he has undertaken research on alternative investments,
equity style, socially responsible investing, health-care investing and
international diversification. He
has also done significant research on portfolio management for taxable
investors and is co-author
of Integrating Investments and the Tax Code,
which was published by J.K. Lasser.
Professor
Jennings previously worked as a private equity analyst and sports
valuation analyst at Arthur Andersen & Co.
He is a Chartered Financial
Analyst and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan. His doctorate is from the
University
of Michigan.
